Booking & Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed once View Complete has issued a written confirmation (via email or other digital communication) and, where applicable, a deposit or full payment has been received.

The booking process typically involves:

  1. Client submits an enquiry via our website, phone, or email
  2. View Complete assesses site suitability, airspace, and scheduling availability

  4. Client confirms acceptance of the quote and these Terms

Pre-flight checks: Prior to every shoot, View Complete conducts a mandatory no-fly zone and airspace assessment for the specific location. If the site falls within a restricted or controlled airspace zone, we will contact you prior to the shoot date to discuss options. We will never commence a flight in an unauthorised area.

06 — Cancellations

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation and rescheduling policy is designed to be fair to both parties while accounting for the operational preparation that goes into every shoot.

Cancellation by the Client

Notice periods and applicable charges
  • More than 48 hours before the shoot: Full refund of any deposit paid, or free rescheduling to an available date
  • 24–48 hours before the shoot: 50% of the booking fee is retained to cover preparation and scheduling costs; the remainder may be applied as a credit toward a rescheduled date
  • Less than 24 hours before the shoot: The full booking fee is non-refundable. Rescheduling may be offered at View Complete's discretion
  • No-show on the day: The full booking fee is forfeited. A new booking will be required

Cancellation by View Complete

Circumstances where we may need to cancel
  • If View Complete cancels a confirmed booking for reasons within our control (e.g., equipment failure, operator unavailability), a full refund will be issued or an alternative date offered
  • Cancellations due to adverse weather, airspace restrictions, or CASA-mandated no-fly conditions are not within our control and are treated under the Weather Policy (Section 7)

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The date and time of receipt of the written notice determines which cancellation tier applies.

07 — Weather Policy

Weather & Operational Delays

Drone operations are subject to weather conditions and are governed by CASA safety standards. View Complete will not conduct flights in conditions that are unsafe or that violate applicable regulations, regardless of client preference.

Weather conditions that may result in postponement or cancellation include, but are not limited to:

  • Wind speeds exceeding the safe operating limits for the aircraft in use
  • Rain, heavy cloud cover, or reduced visibility below safe operational minimums
  • Lightning, storm cells, or any severe weather in or approaching the area of operations
  • Extreme heat or cold affecting battery performance and flight safety

Weather reschedules are free of charge. If a shoot is postponed due to weather on the day, View Complete will contact you as early as practicable and offer a rescheduled date at no additional cost. No refund is issued for weather-related delays as this is beyond our control, but your booking value is fully retained for the rescheduled session.

The decision to postpone due to weather rests solely with View Complete as the licensed operator, consistent with our obligations under CASA safety regulations. If a shoot proceeds in good conditions but is later interrupted by sudden adverse weather, completed footage will be delivered and any remaining scope may be rescheduled at no additional charge.

08 — Aviation Compliance

CASA Compliance & Flight Safety

Regulatory Framework

Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 (CASR) — Part 101

All drone operations conducted by View Complete comply with the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 (CASR) Part 101 (Unmanned Aircraft and Rockets) and all applicable CASA Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs). View Complete holds a valid Commercial Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) and operates under a registered Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operator's Certificate (ReOC) — ARN: 1020120 / 1096311.

As a CASA-licensed operator, View Complete is bound by the following operational requirements, which the Client acknowledges and accepts:

  • Visual Line of Sight (VLOS): All flights are conducted within the pilot's unaided visual line of sight at all times
  • Maximum altitude: Standard operations are limited to 120 metres (400 feet) above ground level unless additional CASA authorisation has been obtained
  • No-fly zones: Flights will not be conducted within 5.5km of a controlled aerodrome, within prohibited or restricted airspace, or over areas where CASA has issued a NOTAM restricting drone operations, without appropriate authorisation
  • Daylight operations only: Flights are conducted during daylight hours unless specifically authorised by CASA for twilight or low-light operations
  • People and property: View Complete will not fly over or in close proximity to uninvolved persons in a way that poses a safety risk, in accordance with CASA regulations
  • Mandatory reporting: View Complete is obligated to report certain aviation incidents or near-miss events to CASA and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) as required by law

Client acknowledgement: The Client acknowledges that CASA regulations are Australian law. View Complete cannot and will not override regulatory requirements at the Client's request, regardless of operational preference or commercial pressure. Safety and legal compliance are non-negotiable.

View Complete maintains detailed operational records — including flight logs, pre-flight risk assessments, airspace authorisations, and maintenance records — as required by both CASA regulations and as a condition of our insurance policy with Cover Drone. These records provide evidence of compliant, lawful operations and are essential for the validity of any insurance claim. Operations conducted outside CASA's regulatory framework may not be covered by our insurance policy.

09 — Your Obligations

Client Responsibilities

To ensure smooth, safe, and legally compliant drone operations, the Client agrees to the following responsibilities:

  • Accurate site information: Provide accurate and complete details about the shoot location, including property address, GPS coordinates (if known), access requirements, and any known hazards on or adjacent to the site
  • Property authority: Confirm that you have the authority to grant access to the property and, where required, the consent of the landowner or property manager for aerial operations to take place
  • Third-party consent: Obtain consent from any third parties (e.g., neighbouring landowners, event attendees) where required by law or where their property or image may be captured during operations
  • Site access: Ensure the site is accessible and safe for our crew and equipment on the agreed shoot date and time. Delays caused by access issues may be subject to additional charges
  • Accurate briefing: Disclose any known site-specific risks, restricted zones, or operational constraints prior to the shoot. Failure to disclose known issues that affect the ability to fly safely or legally may result in the booking being cancelled without refund
  • Compliance with directions: Follow any safety instructions given by the View Complete pilot during operations, including maintaining a safe distance from the drone during flight
10 — File Delivery

Delivery of Media Files

View Complete is committed to fast, reliable delivery of your edited, production-ready media files.

  • Standard delivery: Edited, colour-graded files are delivered within 48 hours of the shoot date via secure digital transfer — across all standard packages, with no exceptions
  • Rush delivery: 24-hour rush delivery is available as an add-on for +$75, subject to availability at the time of booking
  • File formats: Photographs are delivered in high-resolution JPEG (web and print optimised). Video files are delivered as MP4 (H.264/H.265) unless an alternative format is agreed in writing
  • Delivery method: Files are delivered via a secure cloud link (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, or a branded client portal). Links will be active for a minimum of 30 days; the Client is responsible for downloading and archiving files within this period
  • Revisions: Minor post-production revisions (e.g., colour adjustments, minor crops) may be requested within 7 days of delivery. Major re-edits, additional footage, or reshoots are quoted separately
  • File archiving: View Complete may retain project files for a period of up to 12 months post-delivery. After this period, files may be permanently deleted and cannot be guaranteed to be available for re-download

Important: The Client is responsible for downloading and securely storing all delivered files. View Complete is not liable for loss of access to files after the delivery link has expired or if files are deleted from our archive after the retention period.

11 — Intellectual Property

Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

All aerial photographs, video footage, and associated creative works produced by View Complete ("the Works") are protected by copyright under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).

Upon receipt of full and final payment, View Complete grants the Client a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the delivered Works for the purposes agreed at the time of booking (e.g., property listing, marketing campaign, internal documentation).

  • The Client may use the Works for the agreed purpose including online publishing, print, and social media
  • The Client may not resell, sublicense, or transfer the Works to a third party for commercial gain without prior written consent from View Complete
  • The Client may not substantially alter the Works in a manner that misrepresents the original content or harms the reputation of View Complete
  • Attribution to View Complete is appreciated but not required unless otherwise agreed

Portfolio rights: View Complete reserves the right to use a selection of delivered Works (photographs and video) for portfolio display, marketing, social media, and promotional purposes unless the Client explicitly requests confidentiality in writing at the time of booking. Confidentiality requests are honoured at no additional charge.

Any request for full copyright assignment (i.e., transfer of ownership of the copyright itself) must be negotiated separately and will be subject to additional fees.

12 — Aerial Footage & Privacy

Aerial Footage & Third-Party Privacy

Aerial photography and videography may, by nature, capture surroundings beyond the boundaries of the commissioned property or site. This may include neighbouring properties, roads, waterways, or public spaces. View Complete takes reasonable care to minimise incidental capture of private spaces and to conduct operations in a professional and considerate manner.

The Client agrees and acknowledges that:

  • View Complete is not responsible for incidental capture of neighbouring or public areas that are visible from lawful flight altitudes and positions
  • The Client will not use delivered footage in a manner that breaches the privacy of individuals captured incidentally, including publishing identifiable imagery of private persons without their consent
  • The Client is responsible for ensuring their use of the delivered Works complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and any applicable State-based surveillance laws
  • View Complete will not conduct operations specifically intended to surveil, monitor, or record individuals without their knowledge or consent
13 — Liability

Limitation of Liability

Insurance Coverage — Cover Drone

www.coverdrone.com/au

View Complete is insured through Cover Drone, a specialist drone insurance provider, for a coverage limit of $1.5M public and aviation liability per occurrence. This policy covers third-party bodily injury and property damage arising from drone operations conducted by View Complete.

  • Public & aviation liability: Covers third-party bodily injury and property damage arising from each and every occurrence during commissioned operations — $1.5M per occurrence
  • Scope of coverage: Insurance applies during active flight operations, as well as while equipment is in transit to or from the shoot location and in storage
  • Equipment coverage: Drone, control station, data links, telemetry, communications, and navigation equipment are covered against accidental damage, theft, and flyaway (disappearance) under the equipment component of the policy
  • Condition of coverage: Cover Drone's policy requires that all operations are conducted in full compliance with CASA regulations and applicable aviation law. Coverage may not apply if a flight was conducted unlawfully or outside the terms of View Complete's CASA licence. This reinforces why View Complete will not conduct flights outside regulatory boundaries, regardless of client instruction

Clients engaging View Complete for aerial services benefit from the assurance that every flight is covered by this specialist insurance policy, which is specifically designed for commercial remotely piloted aircraft operations in Australia.

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, View Complete's liability to the Client for any claim arising out of or in connection with the provision of services is limited to:

  • The total fees paid by the Client for the specific booking to which the claim relates; or
  • The re-performance of the relevant services, at View Complete's election

View Complete is not liable for:

  • Indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from the services or any delay in delivery
  • Loss of income, profit, or opportunity arising from delayed or cancelled shoots due to weather, airspace restrictions, or regulatory requirements
  • Damage to property or third-party claims arising from the Client's failure to fulfil their responsibilities as outlined in Section 9
  • Data loss, corruption, or inaccessibility of delivered files after the delivery link expiry period
  • Any outcome arising from the Client's use of delivered Works in breach of applicable law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition that is implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified.

14 — Disputes

Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises in connection with these Terms or the services provided, both parties agree to make a genuine and good-faith attempt to resolve the matter directly before pursuing formal action.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Both parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

View Complete reserves the right to update or amend these Terms of Service at any time. Updated Terms will be published on our website at www.viewcomplete.com.au and will take effect from the date of publication.
